Ahead of Thanksgiving and Lane’s Big Decision, we have other coaching developments to discuss and plenty of Rivalry Week games to look towards. Games picked = Georgia @ Georgia Tech, Texas A&M @ Texas, Arizona @ Arizona State, Ohio State @ Michigan, Miami @ Pittsburgh, and Vanderbilt @ Tennessee.
Week 13 brought us a fairly lackluster week of on-field action, mixed results in Pickville, and minimal developments on the coaching carousel but we’re here to yap about it all the same.
Week 13 has arrived with not the best on-paper matchups (thanks SEC!) but some potentially fun ones if you’re willing to dumpster dive; Lane Kiffin Watch marches on and Virginia Tech finalizes James Franklin as their head coach. Games picked = Missouri @ Oklahoma, Washington State @ JMU, USC @ Oregon, Pittsburgh @ Georgia Tech, and BYU @ Cincinnati.
Trying this again - we’re back to own the amount of losses we took in Pickville this week, discuss some other suprising results across the country, and weigh in on the news of ‘developing' talks’ between James Franklin & Virginia Tech.
Not much to report off the field ahead of Week 12 so we’re focused on a (hopefully) above-expectation slate of games this weekend and potential CFP implications. Games picked = Notre Dame @ Pittsburgh, Oklahoma @ Alabama, Virginia @ Duke, Iowa @ USC, and Texas @ Georgia.
Another very solid weeks of picks for the show, though not quite as nice in terms of results for some of our beloved squads - coverage includes CFP outlook, the mess at the top of the ACC, potential coaching carousel happenings, and updates from the competitive golf scene in the Shenandoah Valley.
Back from a mini-hiatus to recap Week 10’s games, another big logo on the coaching carousel, and look towards a somewhat disappointing schedule for Week 11. Games picked = BYU @ Texas Tech, Texas A&M @ Missouri, Oregon @ Iowa, Florida State @ Clemson, and LSU @ Alabama.
Join us to look towards a fairly underwhelming Week 10 slate of games and stay to the end as we give our individual guesses for who fills each of the current head coaching openings across the country. Games picked = Vanderbilt @ Texas, Georgia vs Florida, Texas Tech @ Kansas State, Oklahoma @ Tennessee, and Cincinnati @ Utah.
Week 9 was one for the sickos, as action on the field was often lacking in crispness and pizzazz but there was certainly some entertainment to be found if you were watching through a certain lens - we also take a dive into LSU’s firing of Brian Kelly which broke ~30 minutes before recording.
The lads are back from a midseason golfing retreat to recap Week 8, look ahead to Week 9, and review the current status of the coaching carousel (most notably in Gainesville). Games picked = Virginia @ North Carolina, Ole Miss @ Oklahoma, South Florida @ Memphis, Missouri @ Vanderbilt, and Texas A&M @ LSU.
Week 7 brought us plenty to react to, most notably in the B1G where Indiana asserted themselves as a legitimate title contender and Penn State bought out James Franklin after a second consecutive bad loss.
Back on a quick turnaround to look towards a weekend of games that appear to be a marked improvement (on paper) over Week 6, as well as rumblings of turmoil in Chapel Hill. Games picked = Ohio State @ Illinois, Alabama @ Missouri, Indiana @ Oregon, Oklahoma v Texas, and Arizona State @ Utah.
Back to recap a fun (for us) Week 6 including tales from Gainesville, an absolute stinker from Big Game James Franklin & Penn State, UNC is still bad, JMU finds a way, UVA survives another overtime contest, and more. Bonus fast-food takes for those who stay to the end!
Join us in prayer that Week 6’s games will deliver plenty of juice despite their lack of pizzazz on paper. Games picked = Iowa State @ Cincinnati, Texas @ Florida, Vanderbilt @ Alabama, Miami @ Florida State, and Kansas @ UCF.
Not our best picks this go-around but a fun weekend of sport spectating - UVA takes down FSU in 2OT, Team Europe wins the Ryder Cup, Arkansas joins the coaching carousel, and more (including discourse on Buc-ee’s cuisine).
Conference matchups are in full swing, the Ryder Cup is here, SEC permanent matchups have been announced, and Oklahoma State hops on the coaching carousel. Games picked = Florida State @ Virginia, USC @ Illinois, LSU @ Ole Miss, Oregon @ Penn State, and Alabama @ Georgia.
We’re back to discuss an entertaining week of games that included some surprise results, a (slightly) better outcome for our picks, and of course update our thoughts on the current coaching carousel & schools that appear likely to ultimately join the firing/hiring fray
A two-man preview operation this week - more in-conference games are populating the schedule and we also have some hot-seat/carousel thoughts to enter into the record. Games picked = Texas Tech @ Utah, Auburn @ Oklahoma, Michigan @ Nebraska, Florida @ Miami, and Illinois @ Miami.
Week 3 brought us some ups and some downs with mixed results dear to our hearts, but perhaps most-notably the coaching carousel has already begun spinning with both UCLA and Virginia Tech releasing their respective big whistles.
After a brief hiatus induced by travel/life/injury, we’re back to provide a brief summation of our picking & viewing experiences from Weeks 1 & 2 as well as look forward to the Week 3 board. Games picked = Clemson @ Georgia Tech, Georgia @ Tennessee, South Florida @ Miami, Florida @ LSU, and Texas A&M @ Notre Dame.
