Time to put a bow on the 2020 college football season, culminating with yet another Alabama national title and some more coaching carousel fun. Coach E joins the show as well to recap episode 2 of Matt James’ time as The Bachelor (49:20).
Time to recap the New Year’s Six bowl games from last week, preview the upcoming title game, and review the highs & lows of Matt James’ first night as The Bachelor.
We’re back after the holidays to recap the end of The Bachelorette and - with next to no offseason to enjoy - draft our squads for Matt James’ season of The Bachelor.
We’re back to recap the holiday season so far and talk coaching carousel/upcoming elite bowl games. Games picked = Oklahoma v Florida, Georgia v Cincinnati, Oregon v Iowa State, Texas A&M v North Carolina, Notre Dame v Alabama, and Ohio State v Clemson.
Conference championships have been decided, the playoff matchups are set, and bowl assignments have been made; better week of picks for some of the gang!
Conference championship games are on the board and we are picking them - this week our picks involve Oregon @ USC, Northwestern vs Ohio State, Oklahoma vs Iowa State, Clemson vs Notre Dame, Alabama vs Florida, and Tulsa @ Cincinnati.
Week 15 didn’t necessarily give us the results we wanted, but we’re still here to face the music and recap what went wrong for teams like Florida & UVA. Plenty of coaching carousel material as well, which is where we truly shine.
The end of this weird regular season has arrived and while conference title matchups are pretty much locked in, we’ve still got a few games we’ll be watching with intrigue. Games picked = Georgia @ Missouri, Utah @ Colorado, Navy @ Army, North Carolina @ Miami, and UVA @ VA Tech.
As we make our way to the end of the regular season our focus starts shifting to the coaching carousel and we’ve already got plenty of action to discuss thanks to the South Carolina job getting filled. We still refuse to apologize for our picks and any shortcomings in that area.
The global pandemic and general 2020 weirdness have once again made the upcoming week of games less-appealing than perhaps they’d normally be, but we’re still out here getting these takes and picks off (Bachelorette talk/mourning Eazy begins around 1:01:25). Games picked = Texas A&M @ Auburn, Florida @ Tennessee, Indiana @ Wisconsin, Boston College @ UVA, and BYU @ Coastal Carolina.
We emerge from our turkey-induced naps to bring you a two-man recap of Week 13, which while fairly chalky also had its share of fun moments; Vanderbilt continues the spinning of this year’s coaching carousel.
In addition to the games that were played this weekend we’ve got plenty of off-the-field topics to cover including Dabo Swinney Saying Stupid Things, taking the temperature of Justin Fuente’s seat in Blacksburg, and our annual Thanksgiving-week culinary discussion.
CFB Week 12 continues to see games postponed/canceled due to the ongoing pandemic - games picked = Indiana @ Ohio State, Cincinnati @ UCF, Wisconsin @ Northwestern, Oklahoma State @ Oklahoma, and Michigan @ Rutgers. Bachelorette talk also returns (53:20)!
Week 11 didn’t provide much in terms of drama or chaos on the field but we did get our first major coach firing of the year on Sunday night - join us as we recap the games that took place & mourn the loss of Big Bill Muschamp.
On the docket this week we’ve got a sparse board of games to look forward to in Week 11 as well as two Bachelorette episodes to review, including the season shift we’ve all been waiting for. CFB picks made = Miami @ Virginia Tech, Louisville @ UVA, Oregon @ Washington State, Wisconsin @ Michigan, and California @ Arizona State.
Time for a thorough breakdown of all the weekend’s biggest action with special focus paid to a the cocktail party in Jacksonville, our lead candidate for Game-of-the-Year in South Bend, and an absolutely hilarious series of events in Blacksburg.
2-man show this week with Jason on the DL due to work and no Bachelorette content due to our elections; games picked = BYU @ Boise State, Liberty @ Virginia Tech, Florida vs Georgia, Clemson @ Notre Dame, and Tennessee @ Arkansas.
We’re happy to report that our picks fared much better this weekend; interesting performances leading up to next week’s Cocktail Party in Jacksonville, the Big 12 no longer has an undefeated team, and more non-P5 schools are climbing into the Top-25.
Welcome to another hybrid episode, this time saving the Bachelorette fireworks for the 2nd half of the show (47:30). Games picked = UGA @ Kentucky, Memphis @ Cincinnati, UCF @ Houston, LSU @ Auburn, and Ohio State @ Penn State.
We’re back to discuss the B1G’s first weekend back, which went about as expected unless you were Penn State or Michigan State. Our picks saw mixed results, but we’ll be back later this week to right the ship as well as to talk more Bachelorette.
